Bev is a Co-founder of Ploughshares Calgary, and continues on its Board. She served as Chairperson of Canadian Network to Abolish Nuclear Weapons for 20 years and remains on its Steering Committee. She is on the Board of Canadian Pugwash Group and the Steering Committee of Canadians for a Nuclear Weapons Convention.
