Who are the Calgary Floating Lanterns for Peace?
Calgary Floating Lanterns for Peace is a committee of Ploughshares Calgary Society.
Since 2013, Calgary Floating Lanterns for Peace has brought you the Lantern Peace Festival in honor of those who were lost in Hiroshima and Nagasaki – with the aim of educating the public about the dangers of nuclear weapons and bringing people together to stand for PEACE. Over the last few years they have expanded their programming to include more events during the month of August as part of the Building A Culture of Peace Month. Their exhibit of the same name is now available to tour.
